ACTIVE MANAGEMENT OF THIRD STAGE’S SKILL WITH LONG TERM OF THIRD STAGE OF LABOR

Abstract

Bleeding is one of the most caused ot maternal death which often occurs in third stage of labor. An effective intervention to reduce or prevent uterine atony is active stage III management is to seek adequate contractions of the uterus and shorten the time for stage III, reduce the amount of blood loss, reduce the incidence of placental retention. Lama Kala III in the work area of Puskesmas Rao, Pasaman Regency in 2019, the research method was descriptive analytic method with a cross sectional design. The population was all 35 pregnant women at the same time as samples. Data processing and analysis was done by computerization using the chi square test statistical test at the 0.05 limit of significance. Researchers' data collection was carried out with each pregnant woman's own visits, the results of the study were found that more than half of the respondents had appropriate active management 68.6% in the Work Area of Puskesmas Rao, Rao District, Pasaman Regency in 2019, More than half of respondents had a long Kala III 54.3% In the Work Area of the Rao Puskesmas, Rao District, Pasaman Regency in 2019, there is an active management relationship between stage III and III in the Work area of Puskesmas Rao in Pasaman Regency in 2019 with a Pvalue (0.031 <0.05) It can be suggested that midwives should be assigned to Puskesmas Rao Pasaman gave a briefing with the theme of stage III active management which will be carried out by midwives later to patients so that the third stage will take place quickly at Rao Health Center
